The SAG discussion forum allows members to collaborate and share their latest ideas or experiences with each other. This collaboration is vital for members as it keeps them updated on the latest procedures and technologies while also providing a source for help and assistance.
The SAG discussion forum also has subgroups for our special interest groups (SIGs), to manage the discussions within those groups. To join one of the SIG subgroups you must join the SAG discussion forum and be a member of the SIG.
LinkedIn is the largest professional network on the internet with over 150 million members worldwide and is recognised as the online networking and collaboration tool of choice. SAG has therefore chosen to use this existing tool rather than invest in a similar tool for our own web site.
To join the SAG Forum you will need to register as a LinkedIn member, and you must be a current member of SAG. You may use LinkedIn just for the SAG Forum or you may decide to use it to join other discussion groups of interest; the choice is entirely yours.
Some concerns have been raised about maintaining personal privacy when using LinkedIn and so we have produced a brief overview of how privacy options are set in LinkedIn to guide you. Click here to download the guide.
Not a SAG member?
The LinkedIn discussion forum is available for members only, as it is seen as an advantage of being a member, and therefore you must first sign up for membership of the Scientific Archivists group.
